Thick or thin, heavy or light? What kind of book will we choose? Rectangular and square, they all fit nicely on the shelf together. Thank goodness books are not round! We are thinking about maths and we've not even started the story yet.
Some books have many pages and take a long time to read. Others have less and are finished in minutes. We start at the beginning, which page is that? We read right to the end. What page will that be?
We meet many different characters. Some are big, some are small and others are somewhere in between. How many characters will we meet? Where will they go? Will they go up and down or be above and below? Will they go North or will they go South? Will they be over or under or in front or behind? Will it be day or will it be night? What happens first, what happens next and how does it all end up? So many questions, so much to find out.
Time goes past until we get to the end. Time passes fast when we take a look inside a book. How many books will we read?
