Did you know that the Fibonacci Sequence is in some flowers, including the rose? The Fibonacci Sequence is a sequence of numbers that a great mathematician called Fibonacci discovered. You start with the underrated number 0, then 1, then another 1, because 0+1=1. Then it's 2, because 1+1 (the previous two numbers)=2. Then of course you get 3 (1+2=3), then 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, and so on. Every time, you just add the last two numbers together, and it goes on forever. There is a Fibonacci spiral where you make two squares that are equal in size which represent the two 1s at the start. Then you have a square that represents 2 and it is exactly double the length of the first squares. Then the next square has a length of 3 (the length of the square that represents 1 plus the length of the square that represents 2). The next square has a length of 5 (L2+L3), and so on. You see a spiral in a rose like the one in this picture which I found in my backyard. That spiral you see in the rose is the same spiral that the great Fibonacci has discovered!
