The VA Museum Dundee takes inspiration from cliff faces. The building itself aligns mathematically as it 8,0000m^2. The building is made up of curving concrete walls by 2,500 pre cast stone panels which each weigh up to 3000kg and are 4m wide. There are 21 separate wall sections. It is remarkable as there are no straight external walls. Mathematically the stone panels in total weigh 7,500,000 kg. Considering the outer measurement of the VA Dundee, it's gallery space is 1650m^2. Impressive. The VA is also equally impressive as it uses geothermal energy as it has 200m deep bore holes. This means that the VA uses direct renewable energy, to assist towards climate change. In particular 800,000kwh/annum for heating and 500,000kwh/annum for cooling. Monthly this equates to 108,000 monthly for heating and cooling.
