The process of making coffee or tea involves the use of mathematics reasoning with understanding of RATIO, RATE AND PROPORTION. Time and Measurement in millilitres , litres, tea spoon are also involved . The boiling temperature of water in the kettle is 100 degree Celsius is achieved at APPROXIMATELY 3 minutes but before this minutes the water is not really idea for making the tea. There is a direct and inverse proportion of what to use while making tea or coffee with some items in equal proportion by mass. For example, The water is 1 litre = 1000ml The milk is 50ml, coffee is 2 tea spoons = 2 x 5ml = 10ml, sugar is 1 table spoon = 5ml. Total is 1065ml. When the tea is made the total ml is 1,065ml (let 1 tea spoon approximately 5ml ). The ratio of water to milk to coffee to sugar in this example of coffee making is 1000 : 50 : 10 : 5 = 200 : 10 : 2 : 1 And the total time it will take to boil the water plus make the tea is approximately 4 minutes for me. This proportion and rate might be different for different individuals as some might like to remove either or both milk and sugar which are VARIABLES. But in whichever case, coffee/tea and water are always a CONSTANT.
