During the lockdown, I wanted to keep my fitness levels up so I started doing a HIIT programme every day. I started with 30 seconds of exercising and 30 seconds of rest with 10 repetitions. I then progressed to 40 seconds of exercising and 20 seconds of rest. After a lot of improvement I finally reached 60 seconds of exercising and 20 seconds of rest. I found out that if I put the times as ratios they should improve each round. The ratio of 30 seconds to 30 seconds is 1:1. The ratio of 40 seconds to 20 seconds is 2:1. The ratio for 60 seconds to 20 seconds is 3:1. This is how I discovered the maths in P.E.
