The teapot and cup is a demonstration of how fluid dynamics can be visually interesting and aesthetically pleasing in the same visual form. The way the light passes through the tea coming from the spout is an example of how the complex 3d quadratic equations form a funnel which pushes out the water with visually distinct jets and waves. The cup has been completely filled and we get to see how the circular shape and surface tension allows us to put more tea in the cup than normally possible and shows how in something as simple as an overflowing cup there is both beauty and math.
