It is great to learn new knowledge and skills that we can take to our homes and share with our family and friends. The card game Golf involves a couple of topics in Maths including Number Processes and Probability as well as being able to remember cards. Aim โ€” to get the lowest score of a total of 4 cards per player. Points system: Ace = 1 point 2 (any suit) = 2 points 3 (any suit) = 3 points, and so on Jack = 0 points (best card in pack) Queen = 10 points King =10 points 4 cards for each player. Set out in array format. At start each player can look at 2 closest cards to him. Then place face down. The other cards remain unknown. Take turns to either select the card facing up in the centre of the table or the top card from the pile and decide whether to swap it with one of your set of 4, with the aim to lower your score. Any person on their turn can call golf to finish that round. Then check totals. Play 9 rounds or 18 rounds. Keep a written score sheet with running total for each person. At the end, the person with the lowest score wins. We are just learning the rules but we can say it is good fun and does rely on your Maths knowledge. All you need is a pack of playing cards.
