You might not realise it at first but we do use angles more frequently than you may think. Take, for example, a simple game of pool: a game all about angles. The objective of pool is relatively straight forward, to use the cue ball to try and pot your set of pool balls and then move onto the black ball. Angles are very important and are used a lot over the duration of the game. On occasions the ball you are attempting to pot may be blocked, meaning your only option is to bounce the cue ball off of one of the side cushions at an angle so that in will hit your ball. Say if you hit the cue ball at a 45° angle, that same angle will be mirrored from the point that the cue ball hit the cushion. Same with a 30° angle, same with 60° angle, you can see where I’m going with this. You may not realise, however, your brain will try and visualise these angles to ensure the best possible outcome. In conclusion, there are angles in many places, even the places you don’t expect.
