For an airplane to fly the shape of the wings and the body is crucial. Not just that, an airplane uses a lots of maths. That’s why If you are a pilot you should have a good knowledge in maths. The shape of the plane is called the streamlined shape. Both fish and birds have this body shape. The pointy nose of the plane helps it to go through air. You might have noticed when there is a pointy front you can move it easily. When the surface area of the front is larger, it’s hard to move. The name for this field of study is called Aerodynamics. In simple terms this means how objects move through air. Some sports cars also use this streamlined shape to gain speed. Not just cars and planes, rockets also use aerodynamics. It might not be obvious the maths behind something but maths is everywhere.
