Bakefficiency: the Art of Tessellation (the 'why' of shapes)

Baking is full of maths, but I took it one step further and created a baking challenge: to get the most biscuits cut from one roll of shortbread dough as possible. Using a hexagon cutter and tessellation, 22 biscuits were able to be cut on the first try with minimal scrappage. Using the right shape cutter was key. We call it Bakefficiency!
