Maths is Art! (complete the pattern: red-blue-?)
I feel that my picture resolves the sequence for two reasons. Firstly, I noticed that each picture had an involvement with water. My picture displays similar quantities of water to the first picture, making that a part of the sequence.
I also chose the colour scheme of my picture based on the fact that maths and art are closely interlinked. The core skills needed for both art and maths are closely related, for instance; geometry, shape, symmetry and proportion. Both maths and art also have a preciseness to them that makes them what they are.
I chose the colour purple as I thought that the ““equation”” for this sequence could be, colour1 + colour2 = colour3. This would then sub to red + blue = purple, as when you mix the two colours that is the result. The colour wheel also follows a preciseness or ““formula”” to make it successful. In this case the colour is used in 1:1 ratio.
