I was thinking about how many sticks I had and how many sides the bench had. I thought about the sticks being different lengths and we couldn't make the same shape as the bench but then I realised that if it had 7 sides it was still a heptagon, just irregular, I realised I could do lots of different type of shapes with my 7 sticks — I could add pieces inside the shapes too. It's interesting seeing the difference between shapes in our playground and ones I can make in the wild.
