I thought that if I wanted to get some new glass for the window and door I would have to measure how big the window panes are. I measured the height and width of the glass in the door frame. It is 1.74m high and the width is 0.78m. So I worked out that, 1.74m x 0.79m = 1.375sqm. The window frame is 1.90m high and 0.55m wide: 0.55m x 1.90m = 1.045sqm. Altogether I have 2.42sqm of glass. I also wanted to work out the price of the glass. Glass is approximately £90 per square meter, this means the cost of glass is £217.80, I hope I don't break my window!
