Snail (complete the pattern: cows-boot-?)
The golden ratio is a special ratio between two qualities in which the ratio is equal to the sum of the larger two qualities. This ratio creates a spiral shape and creates a link between art and maths. This ratio can be seen in multiple famous paintings such as the Mona Lisa and appears within the spiral of the sea shell in my photograph.
A shallow depth of field has also been used within my photograph to emphasise the spiral on the shell and blur out the background to make a more snail like appearance.
This links in with the topic of ““complete the pattern”” as the other two images used forced perspective to make the image seem like something it was not which I have also tried to achieve within this photograph.
