This is a photo of a collection of shapes. To someone it might just stay as a collection of shapes, different types, different sizes, but just shapes, form but no function. To members of the chess club (thanks to our head coach Mr C!) it has much more meaning. These shapes have form and function. They represent — lunchtime play — cooperating with others — learning from your opponent and our head coach — planning moves — thinking out strategies — sharing tips — celebrating a win, accepting defeat. All welcome, any age, any skill level. But no hypnotists or blueberry yoghurt allowed!
